Strategies for Creative Thinking

This course explores the creative thinking strategies to generate innovative ideas and concepts.  It introduces participants to the creative process of innovation by experimenting with 'different ways of seeing' to create new possibilities in problem solving.  The strategies involve embracing a creative mindset, thinking divergently and using appropriate creative thinking tools to uncover and discover opportunities.      

Course Objectives

The objectives of the course are:

  1. To engage participants in the creative process of innovation

  2. To foster a creative mindset to create new possibilities in problem solving

  3. To equip participants with creative thinking tools and strategies to generate innovative ideas and concepts

Learning Outcomes

At the end of the course, participants should be able to:

  1. Engage the creative process of innovation and solve problems with creative ideas and concepts 

  2. Use 'different ways of seeing' to create new possibilities and discover opportunities

  3. Apply appropriate thinking tools and strategies to think creatively
